Sermon Construct: Luke 19:37-40

37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Introduction:

God has a set time for everything in your life.  God controls the seasons of your life.  The transitional times, the indifferent times, the awkward times, the difficult times, the challenging times, the stressful times and the good times.  God is the director, the executive producer of all the occurrences in your life.  He is calling the shots.

God selects everyone that is in your, but it is up to you ACCEPT who God has ordained for your life

Lifepoints #1: The enemy is always close by

39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

Don’t allow the enemy to get you off course by what he says.  Don’t let the enemy SHIFT YOUR FOCUS.

 STEADY YOUR PACE, KEEP MOVING FORWARD and KNOW that THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

Lifepoints #2: Don’t Allow the Enemy to Silence Your Praise

40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace…  

This is not the time to HOLD YOUR PEACE.   Keep on praising God for your intended success.  Keep thanking God because IT IS THE TIME FOR IT TO COME TO PASS.  Every step I make is one (1) step closer to my destination.

Lifepoints #3: God will cause the Impossible to Ensure Your Release

40…the stones would immediately cry out.

Attitude adjustment:  You must know within yourself, that if is handling your production, it is going to be more than successful.  So, WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS.  If God has to disturb nature, cause a storm or cause earthquakes to ensure your release that is what He will do.  If he did it for Paul and Silas, he will do it for you.

Morning Worship Celebration

1. Sermon Construct: Psalm 34: 4-7

4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

 Introduction:

This Psalm is birthed from a great episode in I Samuel 21:10-15.  David finds himself in a dangerous predicament.  He is fleeing from King Saul, but lands himself in the enemy’s camp.  David needed an agent to act on his behalf.  When we find ourselves in these situations like David, between a hard place and a rock, we need THE GOD FACTOR.  (Someone to act on our behalf)

The key to David’s deliverance was having the correct PERCEPTION of WHO GOD IS. In our journey from earth to Glory, it is important to have God in the PROPER POSITION in your life.

• God is not an ADDITIVE, but the MAIN INGREDIENT
• I NEED GOD, He doesn’t need me
• I cannot do God a favor, We need HIS FAVOR
• GOD is a NECCESSITY in my life, not an OPTION
• GOD is not a missing ingredient HE is the RECIPE
• GOD is not an ANSWER, He is THE ANSWER
• GOD is not a WAY, HE is THE WAY

 Acts 17:28

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

So God is the key for your deliverance.  Let’s examine David’s formula

Lifepoints #1:  SEEK God v. 4

God does not seek us, we must seek HIM.  We need to become GOD CHASERS.  You must GO AFTER HIM with all FERVOR, FAITH and FIRE. After you have made Jesus your choice, now you have the responsibility to be INTENTIONAL and PURPOSEFUL in PURSUING and DEVELOPING a relationship with HIM. If you have a relationship with Him, when trouble comes you are already CONNECTED.  God said when you seek me; I will take care of all your fears or WHATEVER BOTHERS YOU.

Lifepoints #2:  EXPERIENCE God v.5 & v. 6

Now you will experience God’s glory in your life.  The power of God will allow you to lighten up in rough situations.  God’s anointing will allow you to be at your best, when things are the worst.  When you should be crying, you will be rejoicing.

When God hears the poor man’s cry, (the cry of the humble man in need), God will respond to the cry.  This is how THE GOD FACTOR operates on your behalf.

Lifepoints #3:  COVERED by God v.7

No matter how the enemy surrounds you or comes at you in life, (from the TOP, BOTTOM, SIDE, INSIDE or OUT); God has you covered from every angle.

The job, your family, church folk, finances… God has got it covered!

THAT IS THE GOD FACTOR!

Sermon Construct: John 15:1-8

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away : and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

PROGRESSION: DEVELOPMENT: EXPANSION

Modifications that cause transformation

To move forward is more than just moving about.  Many people are busy, but they do not make meaningful progress.  The authenticator of progress in your life is inner change.  When you change the inner the outer will conform to a better image.  What really counts is internal healing and wholeness

After salvation it is time to move forward to reformation, restoration and reward.

REFORMATION: restructure, reorganizing, prioritizing to accommodate your purpose

• Purpose gives meaning to your life
• Simplifies your life
• Focuses your life
• Motivates your life

RESTORATION: to recover what one has lost.  Sin simply is losing life slowly.

REWARD: Godly fulfillment

True reward is inner satisfaction

All of these things are only achieved through moving forward.  We are ordained to be SUCESSFUL.  However, the fraternal twin to success is STRUGGLE.

 The formula for moving forward is 2 parts GOD and 1 part YOU.

The text tells us today that the Father is the husbandman or vinedresser or farmer.  Here are some keys to moving forward.

Lifepoints #1: CLEANSE

By the washing of the Word

To hear the Word and not apply the Word is a disservice to you.  The purpose of the Word is to reveal to yourself what God sees in you.  Let the Word purge you, to sanctify you to make you whole.

Lifepoints #2:  CONNECT

God desires for you to live in him, stay in him, and abide in him.

The next step is to allow Jesus to take up residence in you as a roommate and not a guest only.  Many of us still have Jesus in the guest room or we just allow Him to visit and then leave.  If Jesus was really living with you, some of them other jokers in your life would have to GO, VACATE and LEAVE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY!

 Lifepoints #3:  EXCEL

Now that you have it right with God, you can move forward in relationship with God.  Now you can ask for anything because you don’t have it twisted anymore.  God can now move you forward because you have the right perspective, a right motive and the right motivation.

Sermon Construct: Acts 26:12-18

12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Introduction:

This is the testimony of Paul’s change.  This was a pivotal point in Paul’s life.  This moment in Paul’s life changed the course of history for himself as well as others.  Paul’s present actions of upholding the tradition of Jewish religious teaching led him in the wrong direction.  What seemed right was absolutely wrong.  The young Paul had every good intention with official orders, empowered by the religious authority with search and arrest warrants issued by the Jewish Sanhedrin.  But, I’m so glad that God looks beyond our good intentions and sees our heart.  Paul was honestly going in the wrong direction.

DIVINE INTERVENTION

While he was on his way, God’s showed up to show him His way.  At this intersection of God’s will and his will, the choice was Paul’s to CHOOSE or LOSE.  Would he continue the course he THOUGHT was correct or would he RESIST TRANSITION?

Each of us in our lives arrive at this same intersection to follow God’s will for our lives or to continue our will for our life.  We don’t always experience a divine light and hear God’s voice audibly.  God speaks to us through reading the Word, the preached Word, through prayer, dreams and life experiences.  And when we know that it is God, how many times do we RESIST TRANSITION: A change of Direction, A change of Purpose, and a change of Plan.

(The things in your life YOU KNOW you need to CHANGE)

 Let’s examine Paul’s process to follow God’s transition for his life.

Lifepoints #1: Follow the Light

(New revelation:  New outlook, new perspective)

Paul was like the song, “I’m headed in a new direction, don’t wanna go the same old way.”  After he saw the light and heard the voice he made a choice to follow the SOURCE of the light.  He said GOD, HAVE IT YOUR WAY!

Lifepoints #2:  Swallow your Pride  

(What YOU thought, assumed and followed)

In the word of the songwriter Bill Withers, “Please swallow your pride, If I have things you need to borrow.  For no one can fill those needs, that you won’t let show.”

Sometimes what we call being independent is really PRIDE.  It is okay to ask for help.?

WE HAVE NOT, BECAUSE WE ASK NOT or is that a spirit of pride in disguise? He had to lay aside his plan to follow a plan he could not see.  The men following him became his compass. 

Lifepoints #3:  Flow with the Spirit

(God’s spiritual navigation system) Proverbs 3:5-6

Paul had to depend on Spirit of God totally.  It was a true walk of faith.   God knows the who, what, when, where and the how for your life.
