THE HOLY SANCTUARY
Bishop Timothy J. Warren is a native of Historic Charles County, Maryland. He received his early religious training at the Woodland Village Baptist Church, Indian Head, Maryland, where the Reverend Yancey Warren was the founder and pastor. After graduation from the Charles County Public School System, Timothy continued his education at the Tuskegee University, Tuskegee Institute Alabama, where he studied Architecture.
Bishop Warren completed the Bachelor of Architecture in 2001 at Catholic University of America, Washington DC. To prepare for the call and assignment on his life, Bishop Warren studied at Calvary Bible Institute and in 1998 he received a Diploma for Biblical Studies and completed the Ministerial Certificate Program in Spring 2005.
Bishop Warren served faithfully in ministry as a Praise team singer, choir member, choir director, lay Minister, Worship and Arts Ministry member, musician and minister of music for over 28 years up and down the East Coast. It is evident that God has raised Bishop Warren up to challenge the Body of Christ out of their complacency through music ministry and the word ministry. His ministry experiences have proven provident to qualify him for his assignment to the body of Christ.
Bishop Warren was licensed to the Gospel Ministry in 2001. In January 2005, Bishop Warren was prompted by the Holy Spirit to establish a ministry work called “The Holy Sanctuary Church” of Indian Head, Maryland. On the first Sunday of January, New Year’s Day, thirteen members joined and membership more than tripled the first year of ministry. He was consecrated an Elder in 2005 and installed as Pastor of The Holy Sanctuary in January 2006. Bishop Warren marvels at the hand of God on The Holy Sanctuary. Bishop Warren believes that the Lord has mantled him and graced him to usher in God’s Season for a new thing in Historic Charles County, Maryland and He is walking in divinely ordered steps. On Friday, June 18, 2010 Pastor Warren was consecrated an Overseer in the Communion of Holy Christian Churches, St. Paul, Minnesota by His Grace, the Honorable Bishop Wayne R. Felton, Presiding Prelate. On Saturday June 30, 2012 Overseer Warren was consecrated to the Office of Bishop in the Communion of Holy Christian Churches, St. Paul, Minnesota by His Grace, the Honorable Arch-Bishop Wayne R. Felton, Presiding Prelate.
Bishop Warren resides in Indian Head, Maryland with his wife and helpmeet of over 20 years, Allison. He is the father of four children, Beverly, Timothy, Jr., Alicia and Timara.
The Vision of The Holy Sanctuary is to be “A HOLY PLACE for A WHOLE PEOPLE.” When you experience the ministry of Bishop Warren, you will quickly recognize the sovereignty of God upon his life, family, and ministry. Bishop Warren is keenly aware of all that he is and ever hopes to be is because of God, for the benefit of people and to the glory of His son Jesus Christ.
